Selectmen = Board of Directors

It seems to me if you are running for selectman, it is prudent to understand, and get to know the people you may work with. I have spoken with 2 out of 3 selectmen. I hope to speak with the 3rd. I think it is important to understand what their vision is for Millville, state what mine is, and see if we can find a common vision. I'm 66% home. I think our current board truly wants what's best for Millville. They understand having (5) different, elected, independent thinking people, deciding Millville's direction, is a good thing. I'm assured a great deal of respect is given to each members belief's/opinions. That is a recipe for success. I respect the current BOS and believe I can contribute and work with them to take Millville forward.

Please vote April 2nd
Bob Baker - Candidate for Selectman

Hey Bob Baker...here's a bit of humor you may enjoy as you campaign for Selectman: A voter approaches the candidate and says: "I wouldn't vote for you if you were St. Peter himself!!" and the candidate replies: "Don't worry, sir, because if you were St. Peter, you wouldn't even be in my district!"

This guy has gone over the edge. If he really believes that McCutcheon is looking for someone who will be independent, and a "thinker" he is not only being mislead, one has to wonder how intelligent Mr. Baker is.

It gets funnier all the time. Man this guy keeps digging a hole for himself...

Dear anonymous,

Everybody has an opinion. You have shared what yours is. I don't happen to share that opinion. Anybody who knows me will tell you I am as far from a yes man as you can be. I question everything. I believe things can always be done better.

The reality is for this town to move forward, the selectmen need to respect each other and work together. I think many people feel that a couple of the candidates sole purpose for running is to get in and be disruptive. They have an ax to grind. I think the majority of Millville has had enough of that. We'll find out April 2nd.

To the citizens of Millville,
whatever side of this argument you sit on, please come out and vote. Don't let apathy rule the day.

The only kool-aid being drunk is from the blob-master and Mother Mary. Why do you say ? Let’s look at the facts. Mr. Savage and Mr. Petrowicz ran un-opposed at the last election which speaks volumes. At a critical time in our Town’s history, they went unchallenged during Timmy’s hearing and an unsuccessful recall petition. Where were all the distracters and patriots ? Was the problem trying to get 20 signatures or the one signature that counted ? The candidates’ own signature on the dotted line ! I guess its’ easier to complain than to actually commit yourself to do the work.

I watch BOS meetings, and have witnessed different views being expressed by the selectman over the years. Sometimes they agree … I’ve seen them disagree as well. Mr. Petrowicz and Mr. Savage are not pawns of Ms. McCutcheon. I believe they each bring a different distinct view to the table. Although ..It would be nice to see Mr. Petrowicz wear a tie to meetings.

Camp Mary didn’t challenge Mr. Savage or Mr. Petrowicz because they knew they would lose from the start. There’s more support in this community for our current BOS than the other site would have you think. Of course at the next election, it would be easier to run for vacated BOS seats held by pass members with much baggage. So here we are today … 4 candidates and 2 seats … one vote … make sure it counts on election day.

I was with ya Abe until we got to the "wearing the tie"...God I hate ties. Probably comes from having to wear one in corporate america for so many years...

Up and until that comment (wearing a tie), I thought I had it figured out who you are...now I'm totally bewildered. But, it doesn't matter. Thanks for contributing.
