Sign Stealing
It appears some have made the decision that discussing the issues is not the way to go, we now have to steal signs. Apparently, some think the citizens of Millville make their decision based on who has the most signs out. I am amazed at the thought process. One of the signs was stolen from the front lawn of a candidate. I mean you have to be kidding me. A couple signs were stolen from the front of the Bowen house. I have seen this behavior in an election a few years back. Signs were stolen, tires were slashed. But in the end, you can't fool the people...they are much smarter than you think. They know the deal.

Signs don't vote. People do.
Sign stealing is sort of a symptom of the times. It is terrible especially when they are taking them from peoples property.
The expense of signs is significant too. Let's all play nice, and make the decision based on a candidate's ability, and credentials, not on this sort of thing.
You are learning Mr. Baker …maybe you can pass this lesson on to Mrs. Furno. This is an old ploy from Camp Mary who will never understand it. What’s next … playing loud music outside your house at night ? I do remember reading about the same thing happening when Mrs. McCutcheon ran for election years past. Just another form of intimidation from a long ago regime who still struggles with “ Why me ? “ Look deep into the mirror Mother Mary for the answer …
Lesson # 4: Signs don’t vote … people vote.
Some residents are intimidated, or just lack character to say “ No Thank You” to putting a sign in their yard. Over the years, I have refused offers from candidates and have also chased down the right candidate for a yard sign too !. Speak to the residents about your platform, and let them decide behind the red, white, and blue curtains on election day. When giving the facts, the voters have always rose to the occasion to elect the right candidate. Again, give us the facts !
I have heard many versions over the years but the main theme of the ploy works like this. The rats go to local high school students and entice them to steal signs worth $ 3 - $ 5 per sign depending on size. ( Easy money for high school students who don’t have enough after-school activities to keep them busy or parents who care. ) I suggest getting the word out about this at the high school via your own kids, neighbors, police etc..
Or it could be just good ol’ citizen Mike late at night again making some money to pay for his divorce and million dollar house.

Dear Mr. Lincoln,
I would like to give you the "keys to the kingdom" to post articles as you see fit. Pretty bold since I'm still not sure who you are, have a guess or two though. If you have an interest in this, leave a message here or email me at brotherskeep@gmail.com. Readership is up. You have an audience.
I don't know who has the time or energy to run about town destroying signs. The whole thing is rediculous and very childish. My observation is the less said about it--the better...Again, let us remember: "People vote - not signs." My suggestion: retain your energy for a "real" political debate based on "real" issues..
Dear anonymous,
I'm not sure I understand your point...I do understand that candidates that spend +$5.00 a sign, out of their own pocket, would prefer they stay put...we certainly appreciate you coming here and sharing your thoughts... and you are correct, the election should be based on who brings the most to the party that benefits Millville, and more importantly her citizens...
Mr.Baker:
My point was "save your energy for the real issues"--clear enough??
Regarding expense, that is all part of the experience in running for office..You may find that you have expended more $$$ than you realize in the end..This is why I applaud your enthusiasm..Keep it going!!!!
Less said about it until it happens on your property ... some signs are placed further in on people’s property ... its' not a great feeling waking up to realize someone has been trespassing on your property while you sleep ... no matter how trifling it is too you !
It’s still a violation of our rights including free speech.

Question for Anonymous ? Anonymous ? Anonymous ? Who ever you or you Are, Were and when will the candidates have a forum to express thier views on issues ???? Please let me know as I am very interested. Thanks Dick Mercure
Stealing signs wont change our minds! Know of some politics in town that have done this in the past! Shame on anyone who has nothing better to do with his or her time than to be so corrupt!
Bob, Bob and I love your website!! Not all one-sided like that other website! That one is so venomous, insulting and negative. I am ashamed to say I have been on it "maybe" 5 times. Not worth my time. We wish you luck in the election and are proud of you taking a stand like you have in the past six years you and your family have been here in town! I know you want this town to move on and see much clearer days ahead. Keep up the good work!
Linda
Stealing signs again??? How determined is that individual??
Try this one on for size:
The husband says: "Ya know, if a man steals, no matter what, he will live to regret it."
The wife replies: "How about those kisses you used to steal from me before we were married?"
Husband: YOU HEARD WHAT I SAID!!!!
