A hypothetical question

Need some help on this...

Let's hypothetically say somebody walks on your property, pulls a plant out of the ground and takes it home. And let's assume this same person doesn't realize I'm watching the whole thing from my office. He walks right past the front of my house, plant in tow, where his dog proceeds to take a stinker right in the middle of the road.

Of course he doesn't pick it up...

Now this is the same guy who said he saw my car leave the scene of a "vandalism" a few years back...

I put the pink flamingo (pictured above) in the spot where the plant was just to let him know I bagged him.

So the hypothetical question is...Do you think the perp should put the plant back ?

I would like to see what would happen if I ever stepped on his property and pulled a plant out of the ground...it will NEVER happen but I could see somebody having a conniption of epic proportions...
