Osseo reprimands its police chief
The Osseo City Council went into a two-hour closed-door session Monday night to consider discipline of a city employee. That employee turned out to be the city's police chief.After the closed-door session, the city council re-emerged to continue the public meeting by voting to approve a written warning against Chief Timothy Ryan for what the council called "inappropriate language." The chief was also given a verbal warning for violating gift laws.No details were given at the meeting on what led to the warnings. Calls to the mayor and city administrator seeking comment were not returned as this article was published Tuesday afternoon.Ryan had previously served as police chief in Millville, Mass., a small rural town similar in size to Osseo. He served as Millville police chief for nearly 20 years, but resigned after the Millville town board suspended him due to differences stemming from how he did his job.The Osseo City Council appointed Ryan as police chief in May. At the time of his hire, Mayor John Hall says the city of Osseo did extensive background checks on Ryan and he passed them all.

A hypothetical question

Need some help on this...

Let's hypothetically say somebody walks on your property, pulls a plant out of the ground and takes it home. And let's assume this same person doesn't realize I'm watching the whole thing from my office. He walks right past the front of my house, plant in tow, where his dog proceeds to take a stinker right in the middle of the road.

Of course he doesn't pick it up...

Now this is the same guy who said he saw my car leave the scene of a "vandalism" a few years back...

I put the pink flamingo (pictured above) in the spot where the plant was just to let him know I bagged him.

So the hypothetical question is...Do you think the perp should put the plant back ?

I would like to see what would happen if I ever stepped on his property and pulled a plant out of the ground...it will NEVER happen but I could see somebody having a conniption of epic proportions...

BMR Chargers Marching Band

My initial take was people didn't give this group much of a chance this year...early in the year I may have been one of them...but now I think this group is going to surprise alot of people....they have beat arch nemesis Dartmouth the past 2 weeks...they are playing the halftime show at the New England Revolution game this Saturday...that's after they go to Dartmouth and open up a can of whoop ass !!!

Our drumline has a swagger this year and it's contagious...

The Nationals are at the Naval Academy in Annapolis on Nov. 9th...they have a serious shot...mark my words.

I think MJB will tone it down a bit now that he's back in the public spotlight...I know he's smart enough to know that... I hope he provides insight for everyone and has retired the insults...after all, he has been entrusted with the education of our children...again...the 2nd chance should not be taken lightly...personally I think he will do a great job...

There is some new blood heading up the finance committee in Millville...and he is not intimidated by anyone...he is turning over many rocks that many prayed would not be turned over...be curious to hear MJB's take on that...

Obama Miscalculates

You have to wonder if it's stupidity or just pure arrogance...because you don't hop on a plane, fly half way around the world, in a crappy economy where you're bailing out everybody and their mother...to pitch for the Olympics to be held in Chicago...UNLESS you know it's a done deal...because if you don't get it, not only do you look like an inept dope, you have tarnished the office...let's hope he doesn't miscalculate this badly with Iran...that's all I'm saying.
